County Government of Marsabit wishes to recruit competent and qualified citizens to fill the following positions as per the Constitution of Kenya 2010 and the County Government Act 2012 Sections 59(b) and section 86
CGM02/20/8/2020: Revenue Clerk (Job Group F) – 108 posts
Terms of Service- Five (5) years contract
Responsibilities
- Collecting revenue from all revenue streams using cashless mode of revenue collection;
- Preparing daily report on individual collection;
- Checking and enforcing the cashless payment system;
- Reporting incidents and obstacles that may hinder smooth collection of revenue;
- Creating awareness to traders on the cashless mode of revenue collection;
- Ensuring safe custody of Marsabit County Revenue Agency assets and records;
- Guiding motorists on registration and payment of parking fees via Cashless system;
- Preparing invoices and ensuring that traders make payments as per the Marsabit County Finance Act,2019;
- Engaging and building good relationship with traders and creating a positive image of the County Government
- Any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor
Requirements for Appointment
- Be a Kenyan Citizen;
- Be a resident of Marsabit County;
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade D+ and above or its approved equivalent;
- Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution
- Relevant working experience in revenue or routine clerical work will be an added advantage;
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
- Satisfy the requirement of chapter six of constitution of Kenya 2010
