County Government of Marsabit wishes to recruit competent and qualified citizens to fill the following positions as per the Constitution of Kenya 2010 and the County Government Act 2012 Sections 59(b) and section 86
CGM09/20/08/2020: Fire Marshall (Job Group E) – 12 posts
Terms of Service- Permanent and Pensionable
Responsibilities
- Inspecting and ordering of replace and servicing of firefighting equipment
- Inspecting premises to detect combustion hazards
- Ensuring that fire alarm are checked for functionality on daily basis
- Ensuring high standard of hygiene and orderliness in housekeeping is maintained at high level.
- Inspection and maintenance of fire-fighting appliances
- Assisting in rescue operations during emergency
- Any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor
Requirements for Appointment
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade D Plain or its equivalent
- Certificate in fire safety management or its equivalent
- Knowledge of effective fire prevention techniques
- Have skills in method and techniques of firefighting
- Attend a First Aid certificate course lasting not less than one (1) week
- Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and result
- Satisfy the requirement of chapter six of constitution of Kenya 2010
- Hand written applications enclosing updated current curriculum vitae, copies of academic and professional certificates, ID card, clearances for chapter six of Constitution of Kenya 2010 and any other relevant documents be submitted in a sealed envelope and addressed to;
